$30

Join us for a special event on Saturday, July 15, 9am-1pm, at Starhill Forest Arboretum. Tom Kimmerer, PhD, will lead this hands-on course exploring the new understanding of trees and forests and their means of communication.

As Chief Scientist, he works with landowners and with other scientists and natural resource management professionals to ensure a future for the woodland pastures of Kentucky and Tennessee. He is the author of Venerable Trees – History, Biology and Conservation, and is working on a second book on the lives of trees in the Anthropocene.

Cost is $30. Participation is limited to 30 students, though if there is ample interest, we may offer an afternoon session. Click the link below to register or contact the Arboretum for more information at 217.632.3685 or alana.mckean@mail.ic.edu.
